16-17.7.11 Turkish Senior European Cup, Istanbul, Turkey

Theo Spalding-McIntosh represented Great Britain and placed 7th at this European Cup.

17.7.11 British Masters Championships, Walsall

17.7.11 US Junior (u20) Open, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, America

GOLD Nekoda Davis

Nekoda also won the 'best female of the tournament' trophy. We were told this is the first time a Brit has ever won it, in the 23 years of the event's history.

23-24.7.11 Hamburg Senior European Cup, Hamburg, Germany

GOLD Ashley McKenzie
7th place Theo Spalding-McIntosh

Ashley, Tom and Theo represented Great Britain at this strong European Cup. This is the second year in a row that Willesden's Mckenzie has taken the title in Hamburg.

13.8.11 Eastern Area Senior Open, Thetford

14.8.11 World Student Games, China

Theo Spalding-McIntosh was selected to represent Great Britain at this extremely tough international meeting.

23.8.11 World Championships - Paris, France

Ashley McKenzie was selected to compete at the world championships for the 3rd year in a row. In the first round he beat Song of Korea and in round 2 he obliterated the Maltese fighter. In round 3 he met Yamamoto of Japan, currently ranked #4 in the world. Ashley had the measure of him at the beginning of the contest but eventually lost on penalties as momentum slowed. It was an excellent performance and we are as proud of Ashley as ever.

11.9.11 Heart of England Senior Open, Walsall

GOLD Lee Shinkin

As a result of Lee's excellent performances at the British trials and at the Heart of England Lee has now been selected to represent Great Britain at the GB World Cup in October, alongside his Willesden team-mates Ashley McKenzie and Tom Davis.

1 & 2.10.11 GB World Cup for Men, Liverpool

Lee Shinkin and Tom Davis also represented GB at this increasingly tough global ranking tournament. This was Ashley's 2nd World Cup gold of the year and moves him up to 22nd in the world on the IJF ranking list.

9.10.11 Baku World Cup, Baku, Azerbaijan

Tom Davis represented GBR at this tough ranking tournament. He did not place.

16.10.11 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, United Arab Emirates

Ashley McKenzie represented GBR at this high level ranking tournament. He did not place.

22.10.11 Senior European Cup, Belgrade, Serbia

Lee Shinkin won his first contest, against one of the home fighters, but then lost out to Switzerlands seasoned international, Wellenreiter. In the repecharge Lee beat Suarez of Spain, but could not get past the strong Slovenian athlete. Lee finished in 9th place.

29-30.10.11 Senior European Cup, Boras, Sweden

Lee Shinkin also competed at this tough European ranking tournament.

Tom Davis represented GBR at this tough global tournament.

3.12.11 London Prepares Olympic Test Event, London

Lee Shinkin was selected to represent Great Britain at this important pre-Olympic test event.

9.12.11 Tokyo Grand Slam, Tokyo, Japan

Ashley competed against the best in the world in Japan and won his first fight, but losing his second put him out of the event.

10.12.11 England Trials for the Commonwealth Tournament, Thetford, Norfolk
